Fashion critics and journalists determine the style of Evgeni Petkov
as feminine and
very provocative. His style is oriented to the high-styled fashion,
it is clear the using of natural leather and
natural materials. It is obvious the influence
of the Paris fashion, but mixed with the Bulgarian style.
If we have to determine the style of Evgeni Petkov with three words, they are :
Style, Provocation and Womanhood.
The designer Evgeni Petkov was born on December 28th in 1987 in Botevgrad. From the beginning of his conscious
life, the future designer became to have a deep sigh on the work of Paris designers. He realized that it is a job
that he wanted to dominate in his life, he started extra art lessons and French lessons too. He continued his
professional education in the secondary school - a specialist in "clothes modulating and constructing", Evgeni
didn't stop to interest in Paris fashion. By the way he created his first fashion projects.
All the secret passion towards the fashion was left with the first going to the fashion capital. With this journey
started the professional career of the designer. After that there came the first small collections that were
presented in the holidays of the French in Vratsa, and also the first interviews.
The first professional appearances
in front of an audience of fashion experts are the participations in the National competitions for young designers,
organized by the National chamber for fashion in Bulgaria. The participation of the second edition of the competition,
gave to Evgeni the first prize and a special reward.
After that there were also participations in flashy fashion-shows organized by the National fashion chamber. His
passion to the journeys, gave him a lot of inspiration for the collections and invaluable experience. This passion
lead away the young designer in Paris, where he studied and worked for at about a year.
According to the circumstances
he came back in Bulgaria where he continued to chase his dream. He put all he studied in Paris in work only to create
the models for the participation in the competition "Fashion Rise" 2007. During the competition on the green carpet,
Evgeni Petkov impressed the public and the jury with his models. It gave him a lot of rewards, including a participation
in the International underwear presentation "Body Look" in Djuseldorf, Germany. The designer created his first small
collection of underwear for special occasions only and especially for the presentation. After the successful presentation
in Djuseldorf, Evgeni continued to impress the European public with his models. The National fashion chamber sent him in
Brussels to present the Bulgarian design with two other Bulgarian designers. Only 20 years old, Evgeni Petkov became the
owner of "EV-fashion house", he continued to work as a designer and now he has a great success in Bulgaria and abroad.
